Traditional Gong Fu Tea Ceremony
In the orient, the tradition of the Gong Fu Tea Ceremony is implimented to show a guest how welcome they are when they have entered into either a person’s home or place of business. Each gesture and artful movement of the hands of the tea server is done with deep respect and intention; respect for the person whom is being served, respect for self, and respect for the art of tea. This ceremony is a part of each session at my clinic. The entire ceremony takes about five minutes, and along with being offered something that is highly medicinal and good for the body, it gives us an opportunity to collectively make time for a simple cup of tea, a time to be presently involved in the moment taking place.
